Its all about tradeoffs
We lived at Windsor Village for a while. In the spirit of posting something that's useful for fellow renters, here is a pro - cons list. The place made sense for us when we moved in, but in the end though it ended up being too expensive, and not worth the ROI
Pros:
* One of the better options in Waltham
* Shuttle service to Alewife (helpful if you are looking to take the T into Boston)
* Great, and helpful office staff
Cons:
* Old, dated apartments - you pay the price for this, especially in winter in the form of very high heating bills, or frozen pipes
* Poor temperature control in 2 bedroom apartments - bedrooms get too hot despite running the AC at full
* Old, dated appliances - the washer, dryer in the 2 bedroom apartments are very small
* Changing crowd - if you are lucky you will have quiet neighbors
