Part time gig at night. Good folks and supervisors on my shift. Priorities are #1 Safety, #2 Don't mess up the customers' freight, #3 Operational efficiency. Don't always get it right, but everyone I work with tries to do their best. Given the work conditions and wages, pretty amazing actually. The level of performance expectations among co-workers is way higher than a lot of past jobs. I had zero experience. My co-workers taught me how to do the job safely and didn't let me screw up (too badly). They must have the patience of Job. It's union, so compensation/job security aren't the prime reasons. It seems just to be organic in the culture of the workers. Like I mentioned, not everyday is golden, but most of us do care just because it's the right thing to do. Guess that's why I'm writing this review.
