I couldn't believe what I had to deal with to get information about a camper I was curious about especially with them being rated a good dealer. Living 1 1/2 hours away I wanted straight answers on my questions I had about a camper. Talking to both Bruce and Julie I couldn't get a single straight answer from them, they just kept bouncing around even though Julie claimed to be a straight shooter to the point. So I took the ride up and checked out two campers, I had decided to move forward and purchase a camper because they had exactly what I was looking for. When it came to financing I was not straight up told but in away told I needed to find my own financing and deal with the registration. They did not really want to do much but sell the camper and take my money. I had to jump through hoops to purchase my camper. I've never had to do so much work as a customer especially paying their asking price. Now they had a nice manner but the fact that I couldn't get straight answers really made them look like air heads and lazy for not dealing with the purchase steps. As far as helpful they can put a show on but there is a lot hiding behind the curtains. They had what I was looking for but I will deal with them again. UPDATE: picking the camper up was ridiculous. To skip over a lot of other things I'm going to talk about the main problem. When I first went up to look at this camper it had a grill that attached to the side of the camper. I had made a statement saying " oh it has the grill, these never have the attachment grill" which the other two people in my family remember me saying. The sales lady Julie was there saw and heard me. Fast forward to picking the camper up the grill was missing and Julie claims she doesn't remember a grill and they have no reason to take anything out, (doesn't mean it can't happen). After arguing back and forth for 45 minutes of them trying to find a grill laying around and saying it didn't have one and myself saying it did the owner Bruce came out with a new one in a box but not in a good manner at all. He had the nastiest attitude towards his customers, came in, slammed the grill on the front desk and gave a smart*** remark walking away. He didn't let my dad explain our side of the story. I was so fed up with this dealership I called Bruce an A-hole and a whole other fight began. He basically acted like he did us a favor by giving us a grill and made us feel like we were the ones lying. Now keep in mind not at any point did we make it seem like they were lying, we just kept saying it had the grill and we either want the credit back the cost of the grill or get a new one. The grills that attach to the camper are expensive and the fact that the camper definitely had the grill inside when I looked at it is the reason why i argued about it. I've came to realize that this dealership is only a well rated dealer because they either get newbie campers that really don't know much about it and don't know what they're looking at so they make the customers feel comfortable or they get repeat customers. If you're an experienced buyer I do not recommend going to Forrest Marine. They do not like people that know what they're looking at like I was the whole time. STAY AWAY. VERY RUDE PEOPLE. All they see is money and nothing else. Respect is key to customers which these people lack especially after paying full asking price for the camper and I was still treated like ****. Never again. NOTE: this rating will be posted after my warranty is up so nothing shady happens if I need work done to it.
