Great beach to catch a sunset from. It's never crowded here even on the nicest of evenings so you can be sure to get an unobstructed view of the sun setting. Not the best beach for swimming. The surf is a bit rough to the west. The harbor to the east looks calm and inviting but I've had too many personal experiences with very strong rip currents here to ever feel comfortable going in past my ankles.
