I had a very bad arthritic hip. We tried cortizone shots and waited a couple of months until he was certain the hip should be replaced. Dr. Harris operated on me using a minimally invasive technique. He only made one incision about 3-4 inches long and replaced my hip with a titanium one. I was operated on July 1 and released on July 4th. I was able to walk using a walker and able to climb 3 or 4 stairs. The pain was not bad at all, took pain meds for only 3 or 4 days.
I had a visiting nurse and therapist at home for 2 weeks and then had PT as an outpatient for 3 - 4 weeks. Now, 3 1/2 years later I have had no trouble at all with the hip. The minimally invasive surgery is amazing; less pain, shorter revovery.
