We had a great experience here the other night. We were in town while our kids stayed at their grandparents so we could get away and celebrate my guys birthday. This was our last meal on the cape before we left the next morning. We got the stuffed potatoes and pretzel to start - both were fantastic. I got there fried chicken, which another reviewer said was under seasoned buthe guess what? This isn't KFC where everything is OVER seasoned, this is from catch perfectly fried chicken and guess what else? There's salt and pepper on the table. I loved the chicken as it was made. My guy got the baked cod with gnocchi and home cured bacon and he loved it, he said the cod was done perfectly and although he never likes fish with a sauce on it he devoured this. We got the cookie for dessert and he finished it before I could steal a bite.
Everything here was exceptional from the service (I believe our waitress was Maria), to the food, and even the cups of coffee they serve were worth ordering because unlike most other places, bear in boots has LARGE mugs instead of skimpy tiny ones. You can see the chefs cooking your good when you walk through the back and there was a guy there singing on the balcony which I loved because it wasn't overpowering to the point where you couldn't have a conversation and he wasn't in our face, just a great entertainer with a singing voice and a guitar.
We will be back here on our next cape vacation.
