I've had okay service from Allan Kitchens when we remodeled our kitchen and bathroom. They were generally okay, the contractor who did the construction was great. It took extra time to finalize a few details but that's because I created a few unique cabinets that had to be custom made.
However, the plumber installed the wrong size flange for our toilet and didn't properly secure it. It cost me an $500 to have it fixed when it started leaking. I spoke to the receptionist several times and she took my name & information but never called back. I also asked to speak to the owners whom I was told were not there at the time, and they also failed to call back.
When getting a quote in the beginning, the designer wouldn't give me a general price until I invested many hours picking out all of the exact cabinets, counter-top, etc. Several times she left me in the shop to pick out fixtures by myself while she ran off to another appointment.
Be sure to shop around for such a costly endeavor!!
