We have used this business before and gotten satisfactory service. But after our last visit we'll never go back there. Just in case the owner decide to fix the damage he has caused to our equipment. We took our Pro-team backpack vacuum to get a estimate when the motor started to make strange and loud noises. After waiting for few days waiting for a estimate approval and to hear the reason of the noise, we called the shop and the owner said the vacuum was ready and good to go. When we arrived there, few customers was inside waiting to talk to the owner, and we took our vacuum, paid a bill of $77.00 and left. As soon as we arrived at our home we decided to test if the problem was fixed and for our surprise the motor still making the same strange noise. Instead of fixing or replacing the motor he replaced without our authorization the power cord which ours was working 100% fine. We returned the same day and told him it seemed that they were not doing what was supposed to be done and we requested to remove the new power cord and return the $77.00 to our account, and asked some questions regarding that big mistake. The owner flipped out and asked to leave the vacuum again to replace the new cord and re-install the previous one. Yesterday (08/24/17) we returned again, and the situation just got worse because he decided to cut the new cord in half and said he couldn't reinstall the previous cord because he throw it out. And told us he needs $170.00 to replace the motor and replace the power cord he cut in half. We tried to negotiate a better price because we never asked to have a power cord replaced, he never called for a estimate and now he said we have to spend $170.00 to have our vacuum fixed. We filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau (which the owner decided not to respond) to get a credit of $77.00 to buy a new power cord or the rights to bring back to him and have an intact and working replacement. For the motor we'll bring it to another repair shop to get it fixed, because there's not trust here anymore. We don't think this too much to ask in exchange for the inconvenience this has caused to us. The only reason that we're filing a complaint against this business is to prove as a customers we have rights, and the way he damaged the power cord thinking we're forced to pay whatever he wants us to pay have demonstrated a bad business practice and a predictable financial self-interest.
