I've been here about 5 times. I've had 2 positive experiences and 3 negative.
My latest experience and the overall negatives outweigh the positives so at this point, I will not be returning.
I will provide a fair and honest review and you can decide to go at your own risk or save yourself the trouble and uncertainty:
Pros:
-The overall salon is nicely decorated and generally clean looking
-Once I had one nail break two days after a fill and they quickly repaired it
-They take appointments
-I have had some friendly and skilled technicians
-Decent polish job
Cons:
-I've witnessed technicians re-use everything without sanitizing in between customers: files, emory boards, nail clippers, etc.
-I've seen technicians re-using disposable gloves between multiple customers, literally put them on, give someone a pedicure, take them off to collect payment, then put on same gloves to do my manicure (Note: Gloves are meant to protect you & ME...very gross)
-Technicians stations are NOT or SELDOM cleaned and disinfected in between customers--- especially if they'll be doing a fill or full set
-Every two weeks that I'd go, their prices would change and their printed price sheet would have old prices and services whited out, with newer (more expensive) prices handwritten in. Price on wall is not the same as on the print outs or even the real life price they quote you
-They charge you for every little thing (unlike other salons in the area): full set no longer includes a nail trim--that costs extra, in fact, if they subjectively determine that your nails are long, they tack on additional $5 to do your nails, (this latest addition was NOT even mentioned on the "newest" modified price sheet. (Gel polish on acrylic or gel fill is an additional $5-$15 depending on their mood [and quota?]), extra $$ to file your nails round or any shape other than square [so 90s] (to match your natural nail shape) plus additional upcharges and add ons.
-If you have a concern, all of a sudden, the fluent English dissipates and no one knows anything, including how to contact the owner bc the manager refuses to help rectify situations. And shrugs nonchalantly when you mention the review you'll write.
-They do not value paying customers or developing relationships and loyalty. They have a persona of "either you'll pay us or someone else will"
Basically, I cannot spend hard earned money at what was a previously convenient location for me because of a lack of sanitary conditions and true cleanliness & because of the regularly fluctuating prices.
I dont have a problem paying a fair price, but if I've budgeted for the prices you've posted + 20% tip, then you change those prices on the spot, I cannot support this UNCERTANTY, UNRELIABILITY, and BAD BUSINESS. The owner should know, you are potentially robbing your technicians of tips by doing this.
Truly we work too hard for our money to force ungrateful businesses to take it.
