Doctor Patsos came highly recommended from a surgical nurse friend of mine.
Her recommendation was on point for sure. The kind of guy you could find yourself sitting next to at a restaurant or Pub and never know he was a doctor. He's a real person. His bedside manner is phenomenal. Consultation was way more than informative. After talking to many many people about inguinal hernia operations I, not surprisingly found out that most people had nothing good to say about the recovery. Some talked about the horrors of not being able to move for weeks or having to take 6 to 8 weeks out of work. And these people had desk jobs. Being a self-employed Tradesman I was nervous about taking the time out. Well, I had it done yesterday midday and ever since then I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop. In other words when is it going to start hurting? No don't get me wrong there is some pain and I am on pain relief medicine but by no stretch of the imagination is it a high dose.
I slept like a baby last night and I woke up this morning to a nice clean incision. It feels like somebody hit me in the lower abdomen with a blunt instrument and I have a bad bruise. Being a Tradesman I'm used to being injured and usually work through the pain. But I never expected this. I am attributing it to Theodore Patsos skills and experience. Everything he told me was true. Most of which was just relax kid it's going to be fine.
I will continue to do so and I have already recommended him to two of my friends who have had hernias for years.
Thank you again doctor Patsos.
See you next week
