My girlfriend brought in her 2003 Volvo V70 to have front brakes done. For the pads, rotors hoses (plus brake cleaner and brake fluid) she was charged $475.53 (just for the parts, not including labor). I asked why such an extremely high price and was told that he doesn't use NAPA or CAP ("those types") because he says he hasn't had good experience with them and only uses "premium" parts with Volvo cars. Yeah right, whatever! Mind you, this is a 14 year old vehicle!!! BTW, the most expensive versions of pads, rotors and hoses on NAPA's website adds up to $174.97. Oh, and they have a sign on their shop saying they use NAPA parts.
One last thing. A woman was in front paying for work that was done as I walked in. She was "concerned" about the cost (ridiculous was what her friend said). Coincidence? Doubt it.
