Says I need $800 in additional parts, and does the price go up $800. Nope. Then it’s gonna be $2000 grand more. “Ok but I don’t want to exceed the $10,000.00 mark. Everything is supposedly on pace. I go to key west, get back, boats supposed to be ready. He recommends another bilge pump. Only about $176. Ok, but I don’t want to go much higher than the $10,000.00.
He says, oh gee, we’ve already surpassed that by a good amount. It’s now closer to $13000.00
It’s a 1988 boat buddy! If you would have told me that I would have bought a different boat and never rebuilt this one. His exact words” well you don’t have to fix it. But your boat won’t work! And after all is a “BOAT”. Does that mean you can just charge me til you feel i have no more money?
Pretty much held hostage for my boat after he knew I already paid my marina for the season. So I paid. For 6 months I requested a written estimate, which he never provided. I got 12 whole hours out of it. That’s about $1008.00 per hour of boating. He’s in my same marina too. I walked over to his boat, told him my boat won’t start. Subsequently right after he hooked up his stuff to check on a sea trial that took him 2 weeks to perform, and I had some issues. Told me to look at my slip, and that it was my battery switch, he never did anything to my battery switch. I also,checked my battery. Not the battery I had in my boat when I gave it to him. He played stupid! I paid $240+ to my marina for a deep cycle marine battery last season. Now I have some NAPA auto parts pos.
I mentioned my attorney and he told me to go screw.
NEVER EVER LET THIS GUY WORK ON YOUR BOAT, AND ESPECIALLY NOT YOUR AIRPLANE. THINK A MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN IN THE WATER IS BAD. IMAGINE YOUR IN YOUR SESNA
