AVOID! Dishonest estimates of time and cost. Pete's is a perfect example of one of those dishonest mechanics everyone hopes they never encounter. I chose Pete's because they told me they already had the part I needed in stock and so could have my car finished in an hour, while all the other mechanics in the area told me in would take a few days to order. When I brought my car in at my appointment time, no one knew who I was, and I had to wait an hour by the side of the highway for someone to give me a moment of their time. They then told me the repair would cost a lot more than the estimate over the phone, and that it could not be done for a week. When I said no, they told me I could do some lesser, minimal work to take care of the problem, the cost of which was "not worth mentioning", but at my insistence, they estimated with labor at $17. Surprised, I told them to go ahead with that, which they said they would not be able to do until the following day. When I came back and had the repair done (had to wait again for them to take me), it took twice the time they told me, and when I went to pay I was charged almost $100, of which no explanation could be given.
