I had a very bad experience with Paddle Nantucket. I worked with Caitlin to schedule a SUP yoga class during our trip to Nantucket for my wife's birthday. The first time I spoke with her to schedule the class, Caitlin confirmed me for one date but she put us into her system on another date (a week prior to when we actually wanted to take her class). A few days later I received an email that the class would be moved to an earlier time due to bad weather, which is when I realized she had scheduled us in her system for the wrong date. I called and left a voicemail but later received a text message from Caitlyn saying that she made a mistake and had updated her system. I replied back to double confirm the correct date and time, which she assured we were all set and she had updated her system, no worries.
The day of our class I sent Caitlin a text at 8:50am asking where to meet her for the 10am class .. she replied 5 minutes later "AH, the class is now!" .. I immediately called Caitlin and she said that I should have received an email to notify that the 10am class was being moved to 9am due to weather, but I never received that email. I asked if we could come down and go out at 9:15/9:20 and she said - "sorry but I have a class starting now so I'll just refund your money".. I asked if we could go out at 10am as originally scheduled and she said no the wind was going to pick up - the weather was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, 80 degrees by 9:30am, and no wind at all. I explained to her that I was extremely disappointed in the way she had handled things from the initial reservation mistake to this sudden change of scheduled and not doing anything to accomodate us and her response was, "Why are you beating up on me? I am a single mom trying to run a business and sometimes things fall through the cracks. I already said I would refund you so what else do you want?"
.. provide excellent customer service, and build a satisfied & loyal customer base. Satisfied customers tell their friends and that would help grow your revenue and profits.
I would NOT recommend Paddle Nantucket; go to Sea Nantucket Kayak & Paddle Boards instead.
