Lahey Medical Center, Peabody

I had a vision problem and visited Lahey Clinic Peabody to have my eyes checked. My initial visit was a very awakening moment when I was told my right eye had a cataract and glaucoma. I was shocked that unbeknownst to me the vision in my right eye was very poor. I was refered to another department for further evaluation. Dr Shiyoung Roh from South Korea performed this testing an determined I was a candidate for surgery to remove the cataract, insert a new lens and glaucoma correction to relieve my eye pressure. I checked Dr Roh's resume and was extremely impressed that she was board certified for this specialized surgery. Also knowing Asians are very smart and dedicated people who excel in the sciences and medical fields I felt comfortable going forward. I have never had a long wait and found everyone working here to be very comforting. I did experience a couple of administrative workers who were somewhat harsh. However, the medical people were excellent. I have been in the Lahey system for quite a while and would highly recommend these facilities. I have read some of the negative reviews and wondered if these people are just complainers by nature because some of these complaints seem over the top.
