I debated whether or not to write this review. I thought I'd weigh in after a very disappointing experience over the past weekend. My husband and I went for Sunday breakfast with our 3 kids. Let me start with the positives. The place was cute on the inside and there's a seating area outside as well. I'm not sure if the outdoor seating was open because there wasn't anyone out there, but I'm assuming it was because it was still a bit chilly. There was an assortment of pastries that all looked good. And that's about where the positives end. The set up is not your typical Sunday breakfast arrangement. You actually order at the counter and pay and then your food is brought out. I don't have an issue with this, but I thought I'd point it out for those who dine out and look for full service. I ordered the quiche of the day which was chive, cheddar, and bacon. The quiche was served with home fries. The home fries were fine, but the quiche came out and I'm not sure I could even call it lukewarm. In addition, the bacon looked to be almost raw on the top. I asked to have it heated up AND if possible, put under a broiler to crisp up the bacon. The quiche was brought back out a few minutes later. It had been put under a broiler because the top was a bit more cooked, but it was still not hot other than the top layer. I told my husband that I couldn't believe it still wasn't hot and he explained that his pancakes were cold too, but he didn't bother to say anything. I tried a bite of one of his pancakes and I agreed. No one circled around to ask how things were or if my quiche was any better. There was one girl who was bringing around water and she's the one who brought my quiche back out, but she didn't bother to ask. Just outside the restaurant, there was a touch-a-truck event starting as we were finishing up breakfast and we noticed that the staff was preparing to bring items outside. I'm assuming they were setting up to serve food for the event. I'm wondering if that was part of the reason for the poor experience. So many of the reviews were positive so we had hoped for a great breakfast. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
