Walked a good portion of the Blue Heron Trail with some friends last weekend. I really liked parts of the trail but was disappointed in other parts. The wooded areas were really pretty to hike through, however in the first few miles we encountered multiple parts of the trail that went along roads or through parking lots. The trail was also marked sparingly so at times it was difficult to identify which turn to make when we would come to a fork in the trail. I'd definitely visit again but would like to see more trail markers for inexperienced hikers to use as a reference.
