My wife and I were having tremendous difficulties trying to get an appointment with a licensed clinical psychologist to conduct an autism evaluation for our six-year-old son, Maximilian. The earliest any of our in-network psychologists could schedule an evaluation was seven months out. Max was struggling in school and our district was unwilling to provide the services to which he was entitled without a professional diagnosis.
A friend of ours told us about Dr. Muench who was able to give us an appointment within three weeks. Not long after conducting the evaluation, Dr. Muench provided us with an extremely thorough written report which we were able to use to get our son the services he needed. We are now six months post having started receiving services at school and the difference is like that between night and day. Max is making tremendous strides.
After a phone call and a letter, we even managed to convince our insurance company to reimburse us for the cost of the evaluation since none of their in-network psychologists were available to conduct an evaluation within a reasonable timeframe.
