1st issue:: I brought my car in for the 60k service. The Service Technician that I originally spoke with advised me that the service would be $589 with a 10% discount for a coupon that I received. he put on the contract and I signed. Later on that day a different person called to advise me that there were additional issues with my car that needed to be done and asked if I would like that work performed. I advised not at this time. I asked her what is the final balance so I can go to the bank and grab the money. She advised me that it would be $399. I asked if she was sure because that was not the original price. She said it states here you owe 399. When I got to the service department to pay the bill I was told it was 618. I said that does not make sense for 2 reasons. First the girl I spoke with said it would be $399 + $18 for batteries. Second that was an error and I should have gotten charged the 589 - 10% discount. They ended up stating that they could give me the %10 discount but not the $399 price. I figured it may have been an error so I proceeded to pay my balance. 3rd Issue: When I got to the car I tried testing my keys. My keys are wireless. My keys stopped working so I tried to use my back up and they did not work either. I went down and explained to the technicians and they said you probably just need a battery. I paid for two batteries and to my dismay when I got out to the car and tried them only one key worked. I went back in and explained only one worked and they wanted to charge me $55 for the second one to reprogram it. I went to them with my problem they are suppose to be the professionals and diagnose the problem and provide me with the solution. If it was not a battery issue then they should have advised me that it was a programming issue. I did nothing to cause a programming issue so I believe this should have been taken care of without trying to charge me $55. 3rd Issue: When I originally bought the car I was told any time I come in for service on my car they do a complementry cleaning. I gave them my car with no expectation as to when I would get the car back. I asked the dealership if they can get me a quote on a tiny dent in the car. The autobody place said they can just come over and look at it. It was a small dent. When I was leaving I realized that the complementary cleaning was not done. When I asked why they said they had to get it to the auto-body place and they did not have time. Since I was not given a time by them and left my schedule open for the entire day time was not an issue. They could have taken the 15 minutes to clean the car but they chose not to. 4th issue: When I got in my car to finally leave I see a blue plastic bag left on my car. So not only did they not do the cleaning they made a mess of my car. Pictures to follow
The customer service at the Chevrolet Service department at Commonwealth Motors is phenomenal. When I came it to have the oil changed, the brake pads/rotors replaced and four new times put on, they were ready. All the prices quoted five months earlier stayed the same. They did not increase by one cent. In fact, they told me about a $100.00 rebate for my new tires. I could not ask for more. Oh, and they even gave me have a rental car for the day... free of charge!
